Theory
A mid cap company is a company with a market capitalization between approximately €2 and €10 billion. The market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the number of a company's shares outstanding by its stock price. Mid cap is an abbreviation for the term "middle capitalization".
A small cap company refers to stocks with a relatively small market capitalization. The definition of small cap is a company with a market capitalization of between €500 million and €2 billion.
